Alternative dispute resolution public forum

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb Ireland) will host a free forum at the Clayton Hotel, Lapps Quay, in Cork city centre. 

The 20 March event is titled ‘Alternative dispute resolution – a fresh perspective’ and will be chaired by Mrs Justice Marie Baker of the Court of Appeal.

Speakers include Eamon Harrington (Comyn Kelleher Tobin solicitors) and Lorraine O’Sullivan SC.

Eamon Harrington is a former chairman of the Law Society’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, a former council member at Irish Commercial Mediation Association, and a CEDR accredited mediator.

His work focuses on dispute resolution, with particular experience in handling complex high- value claims, including professional negligence, clinical negligence, and commercial disputes.

Lorraine O’ Sullivan was called to the Bar of Ireland in 1984, to the Bar of England and Wales in 1996, and to the Inner Bar in 2008.

Practice

She is a CEDR-accredited mediator as well as an experienced senior counsel and arbitrator. Her practice includes general common law, with an emphasis on personal injuries.
