The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has published decisions and recommendations from 22 to 29 April 2024.

April employment case law

Cases and issues covered include:

  • payment during a period of suspension (James Quinn v Quinn Motors (Castlecomer) Limited Quinn Motors, ADJ-00041442)

  • an award of €101,000 for unfair dismissal where the respondent did not appear at the hearing (Jeroen Proos v Human + Kind Limited, ADJ-00044413)

  • a successful claim of discrimination arising from comments made in post-interview feedback (A Complainant v A Media Company, ADJ-00043525)
