The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has published its decisions and recommendations from 1 to 17 August.
August employment and equality case law
Issues covered include:
an allegation of penalisation following a complaint by an employee who was subsequently dismissed (Pippa Ni Chonarain v Applegreen, ADJ-00033836),
dismissal of an employee following his arrest for an incident outside the workplace (Gerard Mc Veigh v Dunnes Stores Dunnes Stores, ADJ-00036287), and
the duty to mitigate loss following an unfair dismissal (Michal Wrobel v Haccius Logistics Limited, ADJ-00035911).
