Help raise €350,000 for homeless services in Ireland and Kolkata. Events are taking place in Dublin, Cork and Galway.

For over 25 years, the Calcutta Run and associated events has raised over €5 million for homelessness services which is a fantastic effort as a profession to be proud of. In 2024, we want to continue to raise vital funds and awareness for those experiencing homelessness. Join the Calcutta Run 2024 in Dublin on 25 May, in Cork on 26 May or in Galway on 26 May.

Our primary charity partners for this year’s legal fundraiser are the Dublin Simon Community and the Hope Foundation, who both do incredible work in supporting homeless communities.

Dublin Simon Community

Dublin Simon Community work to prevent and address homelessness to over 7,600 people throughout Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan.

They provide services at all stages of homelessness including emergency accommodation, sustainable long and short-term housing, outreach and prevention for those at risk of homelessness as well as treatment and recovery services.

Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation (HOPE) supports the development of underprivileged sections of society through partnership and capacity building.

For 25 years HOPE has been working with street-connected and slum-dwelling children, their families and communities in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. They fund and operate 58 projects in areas covering protection, education, healthcare, life skills and emergency response.

How to get involved

Collectively as a profession and through the Dublin Calcutta Run and associated events, including the Golf Classic, Rogers Recruitment Tag Rugby, Tennis Tournament, as well as Cork Calcutta Run and Galway Calcutta Run (more details to follow), we aim to raise €350,000 to support these charities.

Don’t delay. Save the dates to spend time with your legal colleagues and friends and help make a difference by signing up to one of the Calcutta Run events and starting your fundraising.
