Public notice has been given, inviting applications from practicing barristers and solicitors eligible for appointment to various judicial positions, including as Ordinary Judge of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, Circuit Court, and District Court.

How to apply

Those who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to be considered can submit written applications to the Secretary of the Judicial Appointments Advisory Board at Phoenix House, 15/24 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7. Alternatively, they can request an application form by emailing judicial.appts@courts.ie.

A valid tax clearance certificate (SIPO) and statutory declaration should accompany your application form.

Application deadlines

For administrative purposes, applications for current vacancies should be submitted by 4pm on Thursday 15 February 2024. However, eligible applicants are welcome to submit their applications for judicial vacancies at any time during the year. Fully completed application forms received by the office will be evaluated for potential vacancies throughout the year 2024. These applications will remain valid until the establishment of the Judicial Appointments Commission.
