Law Society of Ireland team wins international competition
The Law Society of Ireland congratulates the winners of the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition. Doreen McCarthy from Gorey, Co Wexford is a trainee solicitor at A&L Goodbody LLP, Dublin and represented the Law Society at the competition in Maastricht University in The Netherlands with her teammate Mariah Donnelly, a trainee solicitor at Michael Kelleher Solicitors, Dublin in April 2023.
A Law Society team has won the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition, which invites entries from law students around the world, three out of the last four years. Their coach and Law Society Course Manager, Dr Rachael Hession guided the team throughout the competition.
The ICCC aims to provide competitors with the opportunity to develop practical legal advice skills. The topic this year was environmental law and teams from Canada, England and Ireland made it to the finals.
