Nominations have opened for elections to the Law Society of Ireland Council, with a deadline of 5pm on 28 September.
To stand for election, a member must be nominated by two fellow members of the Law Society.
A member of the Society may nominate only two candidates, whether for the annual election or a provincial election.
Membership of the council allows solicitors to play an important role in shaping and developing the future of their profession.
Once nominations are in, candidates have until 5pm on Thursday, 15 October to submit canvassing literature for distribution to members.
The poll closes at 5pm on Thursday, 5 November, with the AGM being held on 12 November.
