IWLA announces ‘Women Lawyers of the Year’

The Irish Women Lawyers’ Association (IWLA) has named Michele O’Boyle (immediate past-president of the Law Society) and Maura McNally SC (chair of the Council of The Bar of Ireland) as IWLA Women Lawyers of the Year.

The organisation says that the awards to both women are “in recognition of their exceptional leadership during a time of great strife and challenge”.

Online ceremony

Senator Ivana Bacik (Woman Lawyer of the Year, 2019) will present the awards on 16 December 2020 during an online ‘dine-in’ gala ceremony, and will host a ‘fireside chat’ with the award recipients. The event will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available via IWLA Eventbrite. Dress code is dressy casual (“sequins encouraged”).
