IBA’s human rights group marks 25 years

The International Bar Association’s Institute of Human Rights (IBAHRI) has released a short film to mark the 25th anniversary of its founding under the honorary presidency of Nelson Mandela (pictured).

The release of the film also coincided with Human Rights Day 2020 yesterday (10 December).

Defending rule of law

The group says the film, which can be viewed on its website, is aimed at underlining the importance of protecting the rights of people around the world.

IBAHRI co-chair Anne Ramberg said the organisation had been at the forefront of defending the rule of law and the independence of the legal profession worldwide since its foundation in 1995.
