Gabriel Haughton BL, RIP

The death has taken place of Gabriel Haughton, barrister, on 3 December 2020. Gabriel, a former solicitor, was brother of retired Judge Gerard Haughton.

During his life, he resided at Broomfield Hall, Shankill, Dublin; at Mullagh in Co Cavan; and in Wicklow town.

Gabriel (pictured) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in his 87th year, at the home of his daughter and son in-law, Gabrielle and Keith Tracey, Rosehill Lane, Rosehill, Mullagh, Co Cavan.

Private service

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the reposing, funeral service and cremation will be private to family only and will take place on Saturday, 5 December, at 2pm at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Gabriel is predeceased by his beloved wives, Maeve (nee O’Toole) and Susan (nee Lewis), his sister Marie and son-in-law Rory. We extend our deepest sympathy to his children, Karen, Mark, Carl, Nicola, Gabrielle, Peter and Pippa; his siblings, Bernadette, Maeve, Brendan, David, Gerard and Jim; his 13 grandchildren, and his extended family members, colleagues and friends.
