Editorial board forms at European law journal
The new editorial board of the Irish Journal of European Law (IJEL) has now been formed, after a competitive selection process.
The IJEL is the journal is the Irish Society for European Law.
The editorial board consists of:
- Editor in chief: Dr Mary Catherine Lucey (associate professor, UCD Sutherland School of Law),
- General editor: Dr Andrew Jackson (assistant professor, UCD Sutherland School of Law),
- Managing editor: Dr Stuart MacLennan (associate professor, Law School, Coventry University),
- Long articles editors: Dr Graham Butler (associate professor of law, Aarhus University) and Dr Sara Drake (senior lecturer in law, Cardiff University),
- Shorter articles editors: Dr Barry Doherty BL, and Dr Noreen O’Meara (senior lecturer, University of Surrey),
- Archives editor: Dr Liz Heffernan (associate professor, Trinity College Dublin),
- Professional practice editors: Benedict Blunnie (legal advisor at CCPC), Maureen O’Neill (MON Legal Consulting) and Siobhán Stack SC,
- Caselaw editors: Sara-Jane O’Brien BL and Kelly Stricklin-Coutinho (barrister at 39 Essex Chambers),
- Legislation editors: Dr Rónán Condon (assistant professor in law, Dublin City University) and Conor Talbot (legal counsel at the European Investment Bank).
Editor-in-chief, UCD's Dr Mary Catherine Lucey told Gazette.ie: “Members of the IJEL Editorial Board, include academics, barristers and solicitors with expertise in a wide range of European law.

“Thanks to technology, its diverse membership includes those working in Denmark, Luxembourg and the UK, as well as in Ireland.
