CKT expands, bringing solicitor cohort to 28

Leading law firm Comyn Kelleher Tobin ( CKT), has appointed a new partner and two new solicitors, in effect more than doubling the firm’s size in recent years across the Cork and Dublin offices.

David Ryan is now a partner, and a further two solicitors have been added to the team – Clare Daly and Julie McEvoy.

Real estate partner

Cork real estate partner David Ryan was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2001 and has been with the business just over three years.

He is a leader in the field of commercial and residential property and has acted on behalf of financial institutions, local authorities, public bodies, corporate and private clients.

Solicitor Clare Daly recently joined the CKT child care team. With over 14 years’ experience in legal practice, Clare brings broad and varied experience, with a particular focus on the areas of child protection, data protection, child and family law and defence litigation.

Child protection obligations

Clare frequently advises organisations on their child protection obligations and is a regular lecturer in these areas.

Solicitor Julie McEvoy offers to the growing Dublin office a wealth of experience in the areas of litigation and dispute resolution since her qualification in 2011. She also acts on behalf of Irish and international insurers.

Managing partner Deborah Moore said: “It has been a very challenging year and I am proud of the tremendous effort our team have made in adapting to this year’s new way of working.

Relocation

“In the last five years, we have experienced 64% growth, and to facilitate this growth, we relocated to George’s Quay in Cork and Lincoln Lane in Dublin.”

CKT has over 70 employees including 28 solicitors and represents several public and private sector organisations such as the Health Service Executive (HSE), Tusla – the Child and Family Agency, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Local Authorities and educational institutions such as UCC and CIT, as well as national and international insurers, banks, developers and businesses.
