WF names Donal O'Byrne as partner in Cork

William Fry has appointed Donal O'Byrne as a partner in its investment funds team, based in the firm's Cork office.

O’Byrne joins after 18 years at Matheson, most recently as a partner in its asset management department.

William Fry said that the appointment will strengthen its investment funds practice.

Irish-domiciled

A financial services lawyer, O’Byrne advises many of the world's leading financial institutions, investment banks and asset management companies carrying on business through Irish-domiciled investment funds and management companies.

He has widespread experience in the establishment, authorisation and operation of all types of investment fund in Ireland, including UCITS and non-UCITS across the full range of strategies.

Donal also advises fund service providers on regulatory and compliance matters and regularly advises clients on sustainable finance issues within the investment funds sector.
