WF names Donal O'Byrne as partner in Cork

William Fry has appointed Donal O'Byrne as a partner in its investment funds team, based in the firm's Cork office.

O’Byrne joins after 18 years at Matheson, most recently as a partner in its asset-management department.

William Fry said that the appointment would strengthen its investment-funds practice.

Irish-domiciled

A financial-services lawyer, O’Byrne advises many of the world's leading financial institutions, investment banks, and asset-management companies carrying on business through Irish-domiciled investment funds and management companies.

He has widespread experience in the establishment, authorisation, and operation of all types of investment fund in Ireland – including UCITS and non-UCITS across the full range of strategies.

Donal also advises fund service providers on regulatory and compliance matters and regularly advises clients on sustainable finance issues within the investment-funds sector.
