WF names McGrady as corporate/M&A partner

William Fry has appointed Cormac McGrady as a partner in its corporate/M&A department.

It stated that the appointment further strengthened the firm’s capacity to advise on the most sophisticated and complex transactions in the market.

McGrady trained at William Fry and thereafter moved to London where he worked as a private-equity lawyer with Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, Ropes & Gray and, most recently, Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Private-equity sponsors

He advises private-equity sponsors, institutional investors, and companies on complex, cross-border acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, disposals, public-to-private deals, and minority investments.

Department head Andrew McIntyre said that the firm was delighted to welcome McGrady back, adding that he returned as an accomplished private-capital lawyer with extensive experience gained at leading international law firms.
