Cast your vote in 2026 Council Election
Online voting in the 2026/27 Law Society Council election opens on Friday 2 October and closes at 5pm on Thursday 15 October. Have your say on which of the 17 candidates should represent the profession on Council.
Solicitors with current Law Society membership are eligible to vote. The process is quick and straightforward, with members using their existing lawsociety.ie login details to access the system and ensure the confidentiality of individual votes.
Governing body
The Council is the governing body of the Law Society, providing leadership and oversight across a broad range of strategic priorities affecting solicitors and the wider profession.

Voting closes at 5pm on Thursday 15 October, with results to be published online shortly afterwards.
