Lunchtime probate update for solicitors

Law Society Professional Training is to hold a lunchtime update on probate issues next week.

The online Zoom webinar has been designed in collaboration with the Probate Bar Association. The event takes place on Wednesday 13 May (1pm to 2pm) and is worth one general CPD hour by e-learning.

It is aimed at providing practitioners with an update on some recent developments in the area of probate, including a look at some recent judgments.

Limitation-period issues

The webinar will discuss:

• Limitation-period issues in succession and probate proceedings, and
• Recent case-law developments in probate and succession.

John Donnelly SC, the current chair of the Probate Bar Association, will chair the webinar.

The speakers are:

• Niall Fahy BL, who has a general civil/chancery practice specialising in areas related to succession and probate, and
• Rosemarie Carroll BL, who has a general civil practice with a particular specialisation in the areas of succession and probate law.
