Essentials of Legal Practice course returns

Are you a solicitor planning to establish your own practice or returning to the workplace seeking a refresher on the essentials of legal practice?

Are you a barrister with at least three years’ experience who wishes to transfer to the solicitors’ profession? Are you a Registered European Lawyer or Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test candidate?

If so, the Essentials of Legal Practice Course is for you. 

Taking place from Monday 24 August-Wednesday 9 September inclusive (weekdays only), this intensive course provides a concise and practical overview of the core essentials of legal practice, including:

  • Professional conduct,
  • Solicitors’ Accounts Regulations,
  • Conveyancing,
  • Probate, and tax.

Designed to bring professionals up-to-speed efficiently and effectively, the course delivers focused, practice-oriented training in a condensed format.

Upon successful completion of this course (together with an in-office training period of up to six months), barrister candidates are eligible to be entered on the Roll of Solicitors.
