O’Flynn Exhams names new managing partner

Cork-based commercial-law firm O’Flynn Exhams LLP has appointed Micheál Ó Mulláin as the firm’s managing partner.

Ó Mulláin, who takes over the role from Shane Crossan, will also continue to head up the firm’s real estate, banking, and finance team.

The Blarney native graduated with a law degree from University College Cork in 1995, joining O’Flynn Exhams LLP in 1999.

A registered tax consultant and multilinguist, Ó Mulláin is qualified as a lawyer in Ireland, the North, and England and Wales.

He described his appointment as “an honour and a privilege” and thanked his predecessor Shane Crossan for expanding the firm in “a measured and professional manner”.

More appointments ‘imminent’

“The firm is currently in an expansionary phase, with the announcement of a number of new appointments imminent and a robust internship and traineeship programme in place,” the new managing partner said.

“The firm currently has six trainees and will be increasing that number throughout 2026 with a view to developing talent that has the firm’s client-focused culture ingrained from the outset of their careers,” he added.

Shane Crossan said that Ó Mulláin brought “a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role”, as well as deep connections to the business community in Ireland and further afield.
