Courts Portal revamp to give clearer information

The Courts Service has made changes to its portal for practitioners and lay litigants that allows for the electronic filing of documents.

The changes to the Courts Portal, which came into effect yesterday (11 February), include an updated landing page that the service says provides clearer information about what solicitors can do in the portal and how to get started.

The Courts Service says that the portal’s home page has been redesigned to make key actions more visible and easier to access.

Practitioners can also view all documents awaiting their signature in one place by selecting ‘sign a document’ on the home page.

Service of documents

The changes also include improvements relating to the service of documents and a “more guided” process for initiating a new Circuit Family case.

The firm search function during registration has also been enhanced, according to the Courts Service.

The organisation is asking for any feedback or questions on the changes to be sent to portal@courts.ie.
