Two new partners at BHSM after merger

Law firm BHSM LLP incorporating OBH Partners has appointed James Lawless and Trea McGuinness as partners.

The firm was formed through the merger of BHSM LLP and OBH Partners last year.

Managing partner Mark Homan said that the appointments represented “another important milestone” in the firm’s development.

“James and Trea have both made outstanding contributions to the growth and success of BHSM, and underscore our commitment to recognising and developing exceptional talent from within,” he added.

Commercial-property assets

Lawless, who joined BHSM in 2021, advises clients on the acquisition, disposal, and leasing of a broad range of commercial-property assets and has significant experience acting on complex development projects, site assembly transactions, hotel acquisitions, and investment property.

McGuinness, who joined the firm in 2020, specialises in trusts, estate planning, probate, and estate administration, advising on complex succession, taxation, and wealth-preservation issues.

She also has extensive experience in probate litigation, enduring powers of attorney, capacity matters, and residential and commercial conveyancing.

The firm said that the promotions positioned BHSM for the next phase of growth after its integration with OBH Partners.
