Preparations for this year’s Calcutta Run have gathered pace, with a month to go before the legal sector's flagship charity event.
Legal practitioners, family, and friends still have time to register for this year’s run, which takes place from Blackhall Place on Saturday 23 May.
The event is aiming to raise €300,000 for the Law Society’s charity partners, Dublin Simon Community and the Hope Foundation, adding to the €5.9 million already raised in support of homelessness services in Ireland and Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) since 1999.
Calcutta Run 2026 is proudly supported by official event partner Arachas.
This year, as part of Paws for a Cause, four-legged friends are welcome to join in, and organisers are promising some surprises on the day just for the dogs.
Participants can walk or run, choosing from two different routes of 6km or 10km.
In 2025, over 2,000 people raised €325,000 by taking part across all Calcutta Run events – including runs in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, the Law Debenture Golf Classic, and Rogers Recruitment Tag Rugby.
