An initiative is offering young lawyers a range of training opportunities covering digital innovation and EU law.
The Young European Lawyers Project (YELP) says that the scheme is aimed at helping young lawyers to thrive in an increasingly digital and interconnected Europe.
YELP is an initiative involving the Academy of European Law (ERA), CCBE, EYBA, partnering Bar associations, and the European Commission.
It focuses on three areas:
YELP offers what it describes as two “unique” training opportunities – CONTEST and ACADEMY.
In the CONTEST programme, teams composed of contestants from different European countries will be challenged to apply their knowledge of European law in practical role-play scenarios.
The ACADEMY programme involves a series of intensive courses consisting of a webinar and an eight-day seminar in Trier (Germany),
YELP focuses on lawyers in private practice at the beginning of their career.
