Investment ‘pivotal moment’ for Power Capital

Private-equity firm Omnes and investment company Infranity have teamed up to take a strategic shareholding in renewable-energy company Power Capital.

Power Capital is an independent power producer involved in solar power and battery-storage projects.

Its chief executive Justin Brown described the capital raise as marking “a pivotal moment” for the firm, as it accelerated delivery of over 5GW of solar and battery-storage projects across Ireland.

Omnes already had a stake in the firm.

The latest agreement was signed at the end of July and expected to close by the end of September once the required approvals are obtained.

Power Capital was also advised by Dentons, Arthur Cox, and Philip Lee, while A&L Goodbody advised Infranity.
