Flynn O’Driscoll LLP has announced a further expansion of its team that includes the appointments of two new partners.
The firm had already been expanding through a series of mergers – the most recent last year with Vincent & Beatty.
Terry O’Malley has now joined the firm from Eversheds Sutherland to become a partner in its real-estate practice.
John Fitzgerald has been appointed as partner and head of restructuring and insolvency in Flynn O’Driscoll’s restructuring and insolvency practice, joining from Byrne Wallace Shields.
O’Malley, who was a partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s real-estate department for the last seven years, has extensive experience in all areas of property law, with a particular focus on social housing, retail, hospitality, and industrial.
O’Malley brings with him three team members from Eversheds Sutherland’s real-estate department: Orlagh Caffrey, Lynda O’Neill, and Cliona Crowley.
Fitzgerald, who was head of restructuring and insolvency at Byrne Wallace Shields, also has expertise in other aspects of commercial litigation and investigations – including contract/property disputes, shareholder disagreements, and planning/environmental law.
James Duggan (managing partner, Flynn O’Driscoll) described the appointments as “another step in our growth journey” as the firm further strengthened its expertise.
“Bringing in new talent through strategic mergers, as well as through growth of existing teams, is core to our plan,” he added.
