Cork networking event for younger members

The Law Society’s Younger Members Committee (YMC) is holding an in-person networking event for colleagues from across the legal profession in Cork City next week.

While the committee represents solicitors who are up to seven years qualified, its first Cork-based networking event is open to all solicitors and trainees.

It takes place at the Imperial Hotel, Cork City on Thursday 11 September (3pm to 5pm), followed by refreshments at Fitzgerald’s Bar in the hotel.

Guest speakers

The event provides an opportunity to connect with Cork-based colleagues and hear from Law Society Psychological Services and guest speakers, including:

  • Judge Sinead Behan (Circuit Court),
  • Neal Horgan BL (former professional footballer, solicitor, and now practising barrister),
  • Cailim Boyle (director and head of legal recruitment at Hunter Savage),
  • Antoinette Moriarty (head of Law Society Psychological Services), and
  • Mary Duffy (executive, Law Society Psychological Services).

Speakers will examine how solicitors can optimise their wellbeing, the importance of collegiality, and enhancing your career potential.

The event is in association with the Southern Law Association and is sponsored by Hunter Savage, RDJ LLP, JW O’Donovan LLP, and Cantillons Solicitors.

Event and booking details are available on the Law Society website.
