Voting has opened for the elections to the 2025/26 Law Society Council.
The process is again online only this year, and only current members can vote.
Polling closes at 5pm on 16 October 2025, and the results will be announced at the Law Society’s annual general meeting on 13 November.
This year, there are 19 candidates for 16 places on the Council.
Comprising 31 elected members, four provincial delegates and 13 nominated members, the Council represents the Law Society and its members, both in the interests of the public and of the solicitors’ profession generally.
The link to vote is available on the Law Society website, and anyone with queries can contact councilelections@lawsociety.ie.
For the avoidance of doubt, Council member and candidate Paul Egan SC remains an SC. Due to an oversight, his designation as such was not noted on the ballot paper.
