Courts Service to update solicitors on portal

The Courts Service is inviting all solicitors to a webinar next month on the introduction of its new Courts Portal.

The portal, a key part of the service’s modernisation programme, is aimed at practitioners and lay litigants and allows for the electronic filing of documents.

The webinar will take place on Thursday 4 December (9.30am to 10.15am) and is open for registration.

Digital filing

The Courts Service’s chief information officer Owen Harrison and head of digital Mark Dunne will update practitioners on the modernisation programme, with a particular focus on digital filing and the Courts Portal.

The update will include a live demonstration of the portal to introduce solicitors to:

  • Digital filing and notifications,
  • Order collection, and
  • The digital affidavit – the Statement of Truth.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
