CJEU programme for trainees with a disability

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is offering up to two paid traineeships for its October 2025 session for EU nationals with a recognised disability.

The traineeships, part of the court’s inclusivity programme, are open to candidates holding a university degree awarded after at least three years’ study.

They last three to five months and may take place in the chambers of the members of either court (the Court of Justice or the General Court) or in the administrative departments of the court, in one of the following areas:

  • Judicial affairs,
  • Administration,
  • Communication,
  • IT and new technologies,
  • Legal translation,
  • Legal research.

Monthly grant

Candidates must have an excellent command of an official language of the European Union and a good knowledge of another official language.

The court says that, for operational reasons, a good knowledge of French and/or English is desirable.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly grant, the base amount of which is currently fixed at €1,618. This amount will be increased by 50% for trainees with a disability.

Applications must be submitted by 2 June 2025 at the latest via EU CV Online.
