Squire Patton Boggs promotes two in Dublin

US-origin firm Squire Patton Boggs has promoted Dublin-based corporate lawyers Nessa McHugh and Ciara Downes (small picture).

McHugh has been promoted to senior associate and Downes has been promoted to the rank of associate II.

Domestic

Both lawyers advise on cross-border and domestic M&A transactions for both trade and private-equity clients.

Managing partner Dennis Agnew said: “Since joining the firm shortly after we launched in Ireland in 2023, Nessa and Ciara have been at the forefront of our deal-making practice — supporting our clients on more than 30 successful transactions and investments, and helping establish the firm as a go-to advisor for corporate and private-equity deals in Ireland.”
