Six promoted in DLA Piper’s Ireland office

Global law firm DLA Piper has announced six internal promotions in Ireland.

Oisín Mulvihill and Claire O’Brien have been promoted to legal director, while Jo Kane, Rebecca Clabby, Bella Chan, and Aoife Cooney have all been promoted to senior associate.

Of the two newly appointed legal directors, Mulvihill specialises in finance, advising on a range of cross-border and domestic financing matters, with a particular focus on securitisation, structured finance, and other debt-capital-markets transactions.

O’Brien focuses her practice on technology and strategic sourcing, AI procurement and governance, and digital-services regulation, advising a range of domestic and international clients.

Senior associates

Among the newly promoted senior associates, Kane advises on EU and Irish competition and regulatory law, while Clabby is a corporate lawyer with a strong focus on M&A across various sectors – including energy.

Chan advises Irish and international clients on issues linked to product liability and health and safety, as well as on corporate, financial-services, and insurance disputes, regulatory investigations, and judicial review.

Cooney has a broad banking-and-finance practice with significant recent experience of project financing in the renewable-energy sector.

DLA Piper Ireland was established in 2019 and now has a team of over 130 people – including 23 partners and 12 legal directors.
