Widespread court closures planned for tomorrow
Courts Service buildings will close for the duration of tomorrow’s red weather alert and for two hours either side of the alert.
The red weather alert has been confirmed for the country, starting in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Friday 24 January).
It is valid until 10 am in seven counties and until 11 am in 15 counties and until 12 noon in three counties.
In Donegal the alert applies for the entire day.
Therefore, the closures are as follows:
- Court buildings in Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, and Waterford will remain closed to the public until 12 noon,
- Court buildings in Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Roscommon, Tipperary, Clare and Galway will remain closed to the public until 1pm,
- Court buildings in Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will remain closed to the public until 2pm,
- Court buildings in Donegal will be closed for the day.
The Courts Service will provide court sittings and adjournment updates on the courts.ie newsfeed and social media channels.

The following offices will be closed tomorrow for in person callers.

High Court
The Central Office of the High Court will be closed tomorrow and users with appointments should book a new appointment on the appointments booking section on courts.ie.

Sittings of the High Court tomorrow will be adjourned and details of the adjournment dates will be publicised on courts.ie later today.
