Legal practice opens on Portlaoise Main Street

Solicitor Conor Bergin has opened new legal practice, Conor Bergin Solicitor, at 71 Main Street, Portlaoise.

“This is the culmination of many months of hard work," he said.

Lifelong ambition

“Opening a new business, becoming self-employed and realising a lifelong ambition is a huge step for me personally,” the lawyer said.

“It is a huge privilege to be part of Main Street in our county town, and I have always believed that small businesses are the best businesses.”

From this month, the firm will deliver legal services in:

  • Wills, probate and succession and tax planning,
  • Farm transfers, commercial leases and licensing,
  • Personal-injury and medical-negligence claims,
  • Commissioner for Oaths,
  • Property and land sales, purchases, transfers and mortgages.

Conor Bergin is also a Fine Gael councillor who won the county’s highest first-preference vote in last year’s local elections.

He previously worked as a political advisor to former Laois TD Charlie Flanagan during his senior ministries, which included justice.
