High Court arrangements for long vacation

The High Court has advised practitioners of its arrangements for the ‘long vacation’, which runs through August and September.

A High Court judge will be available every day throughout the period to hear only urgent  applications.

In urgent cases, practitioners are being asked to contact the Four Courts at 01 888 6000 to make arrangements with the court’s duty registrar.

All sittings before the vacation judge will take place Monday to Friday in Court 6 in the Four Courts at 11am, unless otherwise advised by the duty registrar.

Bail and extradition

In addition, the bail list will sit in Cloverhill Courthouse on the following dates:

  • 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28 August,
  • 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, and  30 September, and
  • 1, 2, and 3 October.

The extradition list will sit in Court 20 in the Criminal Courts of Justice on:

  • 6, 13, 20, and 27 August,
  • 3, 10, 17, and 24 September, and
  • 1 October.

The Legal Diary will be published on the Courts Service website on each day on which the High Court’s Central Office is open during the holiday period.
