Pope Francis ‘inspired legal profession’ – IBA
The International Bar Association (IBA) has expressed its deepest condolences on the passing of Pope Francis earlier this week.
“His unwavering commitment to justice and the dignity of all people resonated far beyond religious boundaries and inspired those in the legal profession across the globe,” the lawyers’ organisation said in a statement.
“Through his tireless advocacy for the marginalised, and his profound emphasis on human rights and equity, he reminded us of the moral foundation upon which justice stands,” the IBA concluded.
