Arthur Cox has appointed Denise Murray as head of financial-services compliance and regulatory relations within its finance team.
The firm says that Murray brings more than 20 years of regulatory and industry experience –including more than 15 years at the Central Bank and at Mediolanum, where she was chief risk and compliance officer.
At the Central Bank, her role included overseeing the division involved in asset-management supervision.
Arthur Cox says that Murray’s appointment will broaden the services it offers to clients, focusing on compliance and regulatory-risk advisory work for financial-services clients of all types.
It says that her appointment reflects its commitment to supporting clients in “a fast-evolving and increasingly complex” financial-services landscape in Ireland and across Europe.
“Her deep knowledge of the regulator, combined with her practical industry insights, will enhance the strength and depth of our financial-regulation group,” said the group’s head Sarah Thompson.
