European law firm Fieldfisher has said that its Irish office made an “impressive” contribution to its overall growth last year.
The firm reported revenue of Stg £359 million for the 11 months to the end of March 2024 – an increase of 10% on the same period a year earlier – after changing its financial year-end from 30 April to 31 March.
Revenue in Ireland was 10% higher compared with the previous financial year.
“Part of this growth can be attributed to the transition from acting on predominantly local, domestic work to advising multi-national clients on cross-border matters, providing a one-stop shop for clients,” Fieldfisher said.
Last year, the firm agreed a ten-year lease on a new headquarters at Mespil Road in Dublin.
During the 2023/24 financial year, it appointed three new partners in Ireland, bringing the total to 15.
Across the firm, profit per equity partner was £966,000 – up 4% on the previous financial year.
Revenue in Fieldfisher’s regulatory practice jumped by 36%, while dispute resolution recorded a 17% increase.
Fieldfisher's managing partner Robert Shooter described the year as one of “significant progress”.
“All our teams delivered outstanding results, despite challenging market conditions,” he added.
