First trainees qualify at Gateley Legal NI

Legal and professional-services group Gateley Legal Northern Ireland (NI) has announced the qualification of its first pair of trainee solicitors in its Belfast office.

Sarah Blaney and Tim Nelson both officially qualified as solicitors yesterday (19 October).

Both completed their two-year training contracts with Gateley at its Belfast office while studying at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University Belfast.

'Home-grown talent'

After qualification, Blaney will become a solicitor within the firm’s commercial dispute-resolution team, while Nelson will work with the construction team.

Alison Reid (partner and office head of Gateley Legal in Northern Ireland) welcomed the qualifications, adding that the firm was pleased to be able to bolster its team with “home-grown talent”.
