Law Society event for Ukrainian lawyers

The Law Society of Ireland is hosting an information and networking event for displaced Ukrainian lawyers in Blackhall Place on Tuesday 28 November (2pm to 6pm).

The event is being held in partnership with Ukraine Ireland Legal Alliance (UILA), a group that aims to provide a platform for the Irish legal community’s response to the invasion of Ukraine.

The free event will be a chance to hear from Ukrainian colleagues who have been working in Ireland, as well as the challenges they have encountered and overcome with the support from colleagues in the Irish legal profession.

Panel discussions

The Law Society says that while this event may be of most interest to Ukrainian lawyers, it is open to the entire profession.

The event will comprise a series of short panel discussions on topics that include:

  • Pathways to Ukrainian lawyers practising in Ireland,
  • Navigating legal practice in Ireland, and
  • Supportive associations for Ukrainian people in Ireland.

A full programme and list of speakers will be available soon.

Those interested in attending are asked to register before 5pm on Monday 20 November.
