The Calcutta Run is celebrating 25 years, and the 2023 event will take place on 27 May.

The run will be followed by the even bigger and better finish-line festival at Blackhall Place, where celebrations will include a BBQ, DJ, kids’ mini-athletics, and much more.

The annual fundraising target of €300,000 will remain in place, with proceeds going to the projects run by Peter McVerry Trust and The Hope Foundation​, supporting those experiencing homelessness in both Ireland and Kolkata.

With over 11,500 homeless people in Ireland, the legal profession is asked to come together and reach or exceed this target for the charity’s 25^th year.

Run or walk

All Calcutta Run participants of any level can either run or walk the 5k and 10k routes, starting from outside the Law Society building and winding through the Phoenix Park, and back to the finish line at Blackhall Place.

The second editions of the Calcutta Run Tag Rugby Fundraiser and golf tournament will also take place in May.
