Centenary event for International Women’s Day

Registration is now open for a special event being held by the Law Society, in collaboration with the Irish Women Lawyers Association, to mark International Women’s Day 2023.

2023 marks the centenary of the admission of the first women to the Roll of Solicitors, among them Dorothea Heron (pictured).

The event this year will also mark the launch of the Society’s centenary commemorations.

It will explore the theme: ‘Reflecting on the past 100 years, navigating the next 100’.

Advance registration

Full details of speakers will be announced soon.

The event is being held on Wednesday 8 March (6-8pm) at Blackhall Place, Dublin 7.

It is free of charge and is open to all Law Society members, trainees, and stakeholders.

Advance registration, by Thursday 2 March, is essential.
