Matheson names new corporate partner

Matheson LLP has appointed Rory Mullarkey as a partner in its corporate practice.

Mullarkey, who will be based in Matheson's new London office, will work in the firm's corporate M&A (mergers and acquisitions) practice, and alongside partners in a number of other related practices.

He was previously a senior partner in Kirkland & Ellis in London, where he led the growth of its private-equity team.

Private-equity experience

Mullarkey has extensive experience in private equity and a large network of key contacts in the London, European and US markets.

He will work with Matheson's private-capital lawyers across the areas of private equity, fund-raising, asset management, private clients, tax, infrastructure, and property.

Michael Jackson (managing partner) described the new partner as “a significant addition” to the growing team in Matheson’s London base.

“His exceptional background and skillset offers Matheson the opportunity to further expand our private-capital practice,” he added.
