Date for Younger Members Committee annual conference
The Younger Members Committee (YMC) is to hold its annual conference on 6 October in the main lecture theatre at Blackhall Place in Dublin.
Entitled ‘Building you career: Tools of the Trade’, the free event starts at 4.30pm and continues until 6pm.
The conference, held in partnership with Law Society Professional Training, will focus on career progression for junior members of the profession, as well as alternatives to traditional legal roles.
Topics and speakers
Attendance at the conference will accrue 1.5 CPD hours.
The topics and issues to be covered include:
- Leadership skills,
- Managing stress,
- Business development,
- Career progression.
The speakers include:
- Dr Melrona Kirrane (Associate Professor of Organisational Psychology, DCU Business School),
- Barry Lee (Mindfulnessforlaw.ie),
- Micheál Grace (partner, Mason Hayes & Curran LLP),
- Sarah Kelly (The Panel Recruitment Agency).
