Paddy Quinlan is new Taylor Wessing partner

Corporate-finance lawyers Paddy Quinlan and Dannie Hanna have joined Taylor Wessing’s Dublin office.

The firm, which specialises in life sciences, healthcare, and technology, opened its Dublin office last year.

Quinlan, who specialises in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joins the firm this month as a partner.

Taylor Wessing describes him as “a highly skilled corporate lawyer”, who advising companies and investors on fund-raisings, initial public offerings, and public and private mergers and acquisitions.

His recent experience includes a significant number of venture-capital and private-equity transactions.

Cross-border deals

Hanna joins as a senior counsel from global betting and gaming company Flutter Entertainment.

He has worked on high-value, cross-border acquisitions in-house as part of Flutter's global growth strategy.

Hanna was previously a senior associate in the M&A teams at both Arthur Cox in Dublin, and at Allens in Sydney.

Adam Griffiths (partner and head of Taylor Wessing's Dublin office, pictured) said that the new lawyers’ expertise in complex cross-border corporate transactions would be of immense value to its clients, and to the firm’s international team.

“We have distinct expertise and connections in significant hubs for technology, and life sciences and healthcare, and these senior appointments further underpin our strategy," he added.
