Lewis Silkin moves to bigger Belfast office

Commercial-law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has combined its two existing premises in Belfast into a new office in Linenhall Street.

The firm, which had previously been working from offices on Lombard Street and Ormeau Road, has been based at its new premises since 15 August.

The Linenhall Street office comprises 5,300 square feet of newly refitted space – including what the firm describes as state-of-the-art, purpose-built meeting facilities.

Lewis Silkin says that the new premises also sets up the firm for further expansion in the future.

Greater range of services

The firm began operating in Belfast in 2021, when it joined forces with local employment-law specialist Jones Cassidy Brett.

Lewis Silkin later combined with Forde Campbell in January 2022, increasing its Belfast-based team to a total of seven partners and 28 legal professionals and staff.

Ciara Fulton (partner and head of the Belfast office) described the move as “a natural next step” to accommodate its rapid expansion, and the greater range of services that it now offered.

The launch of Lewis Silkin Northern Ireland followed the opening of a Dublin office in 2018.
