Barrister nominated for Circuit Court post

The Government has advised the President to appoint barrister Dara Hayes (pictured) as a judge of the Circuit Court.

The decision was made at a meeting earlier this week.

The Courts Service says that arrangements will be made for the appointment and swearing in of Mr Hayes to the Circuit Court in due course.

Declaration

Meanwhile, Siobhán Phelan SC will make her declaration as a judge of the High Court on Monday 13 December, at 10am, in the Supreme Court.

Attendance at the ceremony is strictly by invitation only.
