New ByrneWallace role for James Moreland

ByrneWallace LLP has appointed James Moreland as the new head of its corporate-secretarial department, which specialises in helping companies to meet their statutory compliance obligations.

Moreland is a Chartered Governance Professional, a Chartered Company Secretary, and a fellow of ICSA: The Chartered Governance Institute.

He has more than 14 years’ experience of advising companies on company-secretarial and governance issues – including incorporations, restructurings, changes to company constitutions, and board governance.

More regulation

“Over the last number of years there has been a significant increase in the level of regulation to which Irish companies, and other companies doing business in Ireland, are subject,” said Neil Keenan (ByrneWallace partner and head of corporate).

“We have therefore experienced increased demand from our clients for all of our corporate governance and compliance services – including our corporate-secretarial offering,” he added.
