Blackhall Place in the spotlight for Shine A Light Night

Business leaders are to sleep out at the Law Society’s headquarters at Blackhall Place in Dublin later this year as part of Shine A Light Night, an initiative aimed at raising money to support the homeless.

Since the event began in 2015, it has raised more than €5.3m for people experiencing homelessness in Ireland.

€1.3m target

This year the organisers, Focus Ireland and Bord Gáis Energy, are aiming to raise €1.3m.

Shine A Light Night encourages the public to get involved by sleeping out in their gardens or homes on Friday, 16 October.

As well as Blackhall Place, business leaders will also sleep out at Cork’s historic Spike Island. Companies around Ireland can also sign up to support the initiative by pledging to fundraise and sleep out at their workplace.

People can sign up to participate at www.focusireland.ie/shinealight.
