The Judicial Appointments Advisory Board has invited applications from practising barristers and solicitors for appointment to the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the Circuit Court and the District Court.
Those eligible can apply in writing to the secretary, Judicial Appointments Advisory Board at 15/25 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7 for the relevant application form.
These applications will only remain valid for appointments during 2020 and pending enactment of any new legislation in relation to judicial appointments.
The deadline is Friday, 31 January, at five pm.
Applicants cannot be recommended by the board for judicial office unless they have a relevant tax clearance certificate, not more than 18 months old. This requirement is provided for under the Standards in Public Office Act 2001.
