Law Society President and DG attend Dublin Pride Parade

The President of the Law Society Patrick Dorgan and director general Ken Murphy represented the Law Society at the Dublin Pride Parade on 29 June.

They were guests of OUTLaw, the LGBT+ network for individuals and supporters in the Irish legal sector. This was OUTLaw’s first time to march as a community group at the annual event.

During the march, the president and director general were greeted by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan, who were also participants in the march.

Yet another first

And in another first, the Law Society flew the Pride flag at Blackhall Place, on 27 June.

“It’s a small but significant piece of Law Society history,” said Ken Murphy. The flag was flown for the duration of the Dublin Pride weekend.
