Court announcements now available on Twitter
The Courts Service has launched a Twitter account in advance of the roll-out of its new website.
The new account (@CourtsServiceIE) is operating on a pilot basis and being run between the information office and the High Court central office.
The new account will tweet on various subjects of interest to court users including changes to court sittings, jury notices, court closures and other administrative announcements.
Presence
The Twitter account adds to the existing social media presence of the Courts Service on Facebook and YouTube.
It is hoped to eventually expand the service to cover court news and announcements nationwide.
The new Courts Service website will be launched in early August.
